School Danger Awareness Program |
|
| A four week course has been developed by Instructor James to provide local primary schools with beneficial information and self defense techniques. The course provides the students with the basic knowledge and skills required to deal with dangerous situations, places and people based on the five principles of Wing Chun, being - simplicity, directness, practicality, economy of movement and the minimum use of brute strength. Children are also taught how to avoid dangerous situations. | |
| The courses so far have been a great success with the support of the Logan City Council representatives willing to get involved in order to educate and protect our children. | ![]() |
| Stranger Danger Awareness is an issue that needs addressing throughout the whole of Australia. Statistics show that the percentage of child assaults is fast on the rise. | |
| Daniel Morcombe is a prime example of what can happen to kids these days. A twelve year old boy who was confident and well educated suddenly abducted and still no where to be found years later. It's extremely important that in today's society we educate children in stranger danger awareness from a young age. | |

Here at the Logan Wing Chun Academy we place a lot of emphasis on Stranger Danger Awareness as a part of our Little Dragons and Dragons training syllabus. The kids are trained to deter strangers through the use of verbal barrage and also defensive techniques that prove to be effective for kids of all sizes against a larger attacker. The kids are also made aware of different tactics in order to avoid a dangerous situation. |
